TOWARD ECOLOGICALLY LITERATE SOCIETY
We develop education program about mountain ecosystem to create ecologically literate society. We are aiming for increasing awareness and strengthening the knowledge of local communities (including institutional stakeholders and individuals) in mountain region.
Scope of activity
We share knowledge about biodiversity and wildlife in mountain region, their ecosystem value, the threats for mountains and also how to contribute to its conservation through workshops, open class, discussion and campaign. We aim for school students, mountain trekkers and local community and also institutional stakeholders. Be believe that investing our effort on education is worth for a long run.
Short Workshop for Mountain Trekker
Mountaineering is one of the main disturbance of mountain ecosystem and it is penetrating to the deepest of the mountain wilderness. Their activities and disposal could highly damaging the environment and influencing the local wildlife. We are conducting weekly workshop for mountain trekker at Mount Lawu hiking basecamp, sharing knowledge about hiking safety, local environment and wildlife and also waste management.
